Qualifications
Candidate will have a Masters Degree in Planning or related field plus a minimum of seven years’ experience or a Bachelors Degree and equivalent work experience of ten years.
American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification is strongly preferred.
Work experience must include playing a key role in the preparation and processing of a wide range of planning documents including General Plans, Specific Plans, Community/Corridor Master Plans, Development Applications, Zoning and other Ordinances, and development applications.
Candidate must also possess strong experience in management of projects, conducting public engagement programs, participation in business development, and training of staff.
Candidate will assist as the Director’s right-hand, serving a key role in providing day-to-day project support and staff mentorship.
Candidate must have five or more years’ experience in Planning and Development specific to the California region.
