Performs data analysis relating to the performance of Authority services.

Performs data analysis relating to the performance of Authority services.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assists in developing service plans and strategies based on service policies, research findings, planning studies, and operational considerations.
- Assists in developing short- and long-range plans for new and modified transit services.
- Coordinates monthly service evaluation reporting. Analyzes data, determines problem areas, and conducts studies to ascertain potential improvements.
- Produces reports for the Federal Transit Administration’s National Transit Database.
- Develops and analyzes passenger surveys and related market research activities.
- Assists in maintenance of Geographic Information Systems (G.I.S.) database including business, household and Census data. Prepares transit reports and maps using the G.I.S. system.
- Prepares designs, renderings, and site plans of bus stop amenities.
- Attends public meetings and engages community leaders and a variety of stakeholders regularly on service changes and planning activities .
- Monitors park and ride lot usage and maintains contact with lot owners.
- Assists in administration of the passenger certification process for the Complementary ADA Paratransit Service program.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelors degree in Transportation Planning, Urban Planning, Public Administration, or related field. Masters preferred.
- Two years experience in planning with a minimum of one year experience with a transportation agency preferred.
- Experience in use of computer geographic information systems (ArcGIS Pro).
- Experience in use of Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong geographic knowledge.
- Data collection and interpretation skills.
- Proficient in database development and Windows-based word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform statistical analysis.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for minimum requirements.
