Job Summary
We are looking for a Permit Technician to join our permitting team. As a Permit Tech you have experience with planning, building, entitlement permitting & jurisdictional nuance. Experience and knowledge of e2e telecom construction project management, site acquisition, leasing, permitting, and A&E. Industry Experience, Fiber, Wireless, City Govt, Permitting for Different Industry (Solar, Billboard, Oil, MMJ, etc.), Real Estate Development, Real Estate Sales (Realtors). This role requires travel to different jurisdictions to develop a relationship with officials to be able to efficiently navigate all requirements.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Prepare, Submit, and Track permits for: Railroads, DOT, Cities, Counties and Utilities ensuring timely permit approval.
- Attend conference calls and meetings to report on current permit status.
- Utilize online resources to research and prepare to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Work with different permitting agencies to understand each agency's standards and requirements to ensure accuracy.
- Work with Designers and Drafters to review the construction plans and prepare all necessary documents for permit applications
- Represent Ridgeline, our design team, our construction team, and the clients (major telecom providers) before local and state governmental agencies.
- Work with local officials to further permit applications and secure government approval.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent, three to five years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. ROW Permit or surveying experience preferred
