Architectural Draftsperson

We are looking for a focused and talented aspiring designer to work with our Design and Planning team to help bring our projects to life. Drafter responsibilities would include collaborating with the Project Designer to ready schematic drawings for bid sets and construction sets. The details of our projects are important to their success, so a keen eye for detail is a must.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to get hands-on experience in a high-end residential design/build firm. If you are skilled in CAD drafting and are familiar with building processes, we’d like to meet you. You’ll help us build beautiful, well-designed houses while gaining valuable knowledge about residential construction. Room for professional growth in this position is an option.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the design team to translate client updates into detailed drawings.
• Create Bid Sets and Construction Sets from schematic designs to communicate intent to the field team.
• Develop construction details for both structural and aesthetic intent.
• Create detailed designs with computer-aided design (CAD) software

Skills Experience

• Proven work experience as a Draftsperson or similar role
• Demonstrated proficiency in 3D design software, such as Chief Architect, ArchiCAD, etc. (Chief Architect experience will be given preference)
• Ability to organize and track details that relate to the larger project.
• Innate motivation to work efficiently and independently.
• Ability to collaborate in a team setting.
• Ability to meet deadlines promptly.
• BS in Engineering, Architecture, or similar is preferred, but not required.
• Experience in construction is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
