PERISHABLE PROGRAM TRAINER
REPORTS TO: Director of Corporate Training
JOB FUNCTION: Plan, develop, organize, and execute perishable department training programs.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
1. Extensive knowledge of perishable programs preferred.
2. Previous training experience preferred.
2. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products
3. Ability to travel between store locations.
4. Ability to work irregular hours as determined by the training needs of the stores. This is a salaried-exempt position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Recruit, interview, and screen job candidates to fill store positions at assigned locations
· Provide direct training and direction to perishable department associates.
· Work directly with cohorts of new hires in perishable departments to ensure they are fully trained and able to execute their essential job functions within a targeted time frame
· Fully on-board new hires in perishable departments.
· Develop systems and processes to track trainee progress throughout the training program.
· Identify, select, or develop appropriate training programs and training materials
· Plan in-house training sessions, including developing objectives, develop/select appropriate training methods and aids, and conduct a wide variety of training sessions
· Engage with the Perishable Program Directors to ensure program standards are being met and communicated.
· Engage with Store Operators and Department Managers to ensure store management participation and buy-in.
· Ensure all program merchandising standards are being met and imbedded within the training program curriculum.
· Keep all vested parties fully apprised of trainee and training program progress at all times.
· Evaluate effectiveness of training program and materials and make recommendations for improvements.
· Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the Director of Corporate Training.
· Evaluate proficiencies of department staff and make recommendations for improvements.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
