Description
As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful completion of projects while implementing Six Sigma, 5S, and Lean principles to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall project outcomes. Your ability to lead cross-functional teams, identify process improvement opportunities, and deliver projects on time and within budget will be crucial for this role.
What will you do?
- Lead and manage projects from initiation to closure, ensuring adherence to project goals, timelines, and budget. Plans and prioritizes deliverables and resources based on scope of work and project goals.
- Apply Six Sigma, 5S, and Lean methodologies to identify process improvement opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Manage project risks and proactively address issues to minimize their impact on project deliverables.
- Utilize project management tools and techniques to monitor and track project progress, ensuring project milestones are met.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams, ensuring clear understanding and direction of project objectives and expectations.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project team members, motivating and empowering them to achieve project success.
- Conduct regular project status meetings, prepare progress reports, and communicate project updates to stakeholders.
- Monitor project budgets, resources, and expenses, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost-effectiveness.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence by implementing best practices and lessons learned from previous projects.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure project deliverables meet established company-wide standards.
- Utilize various improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, and value stream mapping to drive efficiency and eliminate waste.
Requirements
What do you need?
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Construction Management, Operations Management) is preferred. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably in a process improvement or operations environment.
- Strong knowledge and practical application of Six Sigma, 5S, and Lean methodologies.
- Certification(s) in Six Sigma (e.g., Green Belt, Black Belt) is highly desirable.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple projects concurrently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven mindset.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficient in project management software tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficient in AirTable, Smartsheet, Monday.com, etc. is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards related to process improvement is a plus.
