Description :
The Rental Driver position drives truck with capacity of more than 3 tons, to transport materials to and from specified destinations, by performing the following duties.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Drives truck to destination.
- Must be able to haul Class I through Class IV materials.
- Must be able to operate all CAT equipment.
- Prepares receipts for load picked up.
- Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations
- Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
- Loads and unloads truck.
- Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
- Positions blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo during transit.
- Must maintain confidentiality regarding customers and store operations.
- Will work with customers and vendors frequently, must be able to follow directions.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- One-year certificate from college or technical school; Three years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Must have CDL driver's license and clear driving record. DOT license required.
- Must be able to pass work related pre-employment physical
- Work effectively with tools and equipment.
- Must be flexible in work schedule.

The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
