Description
The SOS Analyst is responsible for accurately processing fluid samples and communicating results to appropriate dealer personnel and customers.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage the daily oil lab operation
- Maintain accurate records and generate reports as required
- Manage the fluid sample process and follow established lab operating and safety procedures
- Maintain oil lab inventory with adequate levels of supplies as not to disrupt daily operations
- Communicate sample results to appropriate personnel in a timely manner
- Coordinate and manage the SOS tracking process for CVA machines
- Work closely with the Digital Services Group to achieve Caterpillar and Riggs goals and metrics
- Generate SOS Reporting to disperse to team
Requirements
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
High school diploma or GED with work history in the heavy equipment or automotive industry preferred
- Individual must be detail oriented, accurate, well organized and able to work effectively independently
- Ability to learn and use lab instrumentation and interpret results of the data from these instruments
- Demonstrate the ability to learn and master various software systems that are key tools to perform duties
- This position requires a pro-active, problem-solving individual who is able to manage a varied workload with constantly changing priorities.
- Must have excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Knowledge of MS Office and operate a Windows based computer. – this person will be using Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint frequently
- Must be able to meet expectations of the position with minimal guidance or supervision.
