- Place to work : Gig Harbor and surrounding.
- Shifts : Weekdays 4 hours, 8 am to 12 pm

What do you need?

- Pass a background check.
- High school degree and / or a G.E.D. certificate
- Six months experience as a Home Health Aide (HHA) and / or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) in health care (in homes or facilities) and successful completion of a State approved Nurse Aide or Home Care Aide (HCA) and / or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) course
- The Home Care Aide shall have completed a Competency Evaluation that meets the State licensing law for home health agencies
- Food Worker card.
- Current CPR Certificate is recommended
- Read, write, speak, and understand English
- Have a valid driver’s license and use an insured automobile for work or access to adequate transportation
What will you do as a caregiver? How is the day-to-day of a Home Care Aide (HCA)?
As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide personal care activities that ASSIST our clients with activities of daily living.
These could include, but are not limited to :
- Personal hygiene
- Reinforcement of dressings (non-sterile) / shaving
- Assisting with the use of devices for aid in daily living (cane, walker, wheelchair, or lift device)
- Measuring and preparing special diets
- Measuring intake and output
- Taking vital signs (temperature, pulse, respirations, and blood pressure)
- Perform light housekeeping activities.
- Assisting with the application of an arm sling, arm splint, or leg splint
