Position Summary:
Effectively and efficiently coordinate completion of customer repairs by greeting customers and scheduling service, writing service orders and descriptions of problems and repairs.
Essential Position Functions/Responsibilities:
- Schedules service work for efficient and productive work outcomes
- Greets customers in a timely friendly manner
- Creates, writes and completes repair orders
- Documents accurate description of customer complaints
- Up-sell when appropriate
- References vehicle history, warranty coverage, open campaigns, etc.
- Primary contact for providing service estimates and repair explanations to customers on a timely basis
- Obtains customer signatures and approvals
- Determines payment methods and obtains required approvals
- Updates customers on repair status
- Audits repair orders for completion
- Coordinates customer parking
- Responds to telephone and in-person inquiries in a professional manner
- Maintains professional appearance
- Keeps work area clean
- Other duties to meet business requirements
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 6 months of mechanical experience in transportation industry

Preferred Qualifications:
- Service writing/advising experience
- Background and understanding of trucks and truck equipment
- Experience working in a truck repair facility
- Customer service experience
