What it’s all about:
RIHousing is seeking a capable and self-motivated intern in the accounting department. The position will include responsibilities in the areas of General Accounting, Grants, and Loan Servicing.
What you’ll do on a daily basis:
Applicants will provide support in the following areas.
- Research aged items and summarize corrective actions
- Perform various General Ledger Account reconciliations
- Assist in the reconciliation of grant accounting reports
- Provide administrative and support services
- Collaborate with staff in the general accounting, grants, and loan servicing areas
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Strong academic record and sincere interest in the field of accounting
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft EXCEL.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient at research and problem-solving.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work independently.
