What it’s all about:

RIHousing is seeking a capable and self-motivated intern in the accounting department. The position will include responsibilities in the areas of General Accounting, Grants, and Loan Servicing.  

What you’ll do on a daily basis: 

Applicants will provide support in the following areas. 

• Research aged items and summarize corrective actions 
• Perform various General Ledger Account reconciliations
• Assist in the reconciliation of grant accounting reports
• Provide administrative and support services
• Collaborate with staff in the general accounting, grants, and loan servicing areas

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Strong academic record and sincere interest in the field of accounting
• Effective written and oral communication skills.  
• Proficient with Microsoft EXCEL.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient at research and problem-solving.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work independently.
