Peak Utility Services Group is an integrated group of engineering and construction companies serving the Electric, Natural Gas and Telecommunications industry. We provide a full suite of engineering, construction, operations, and maintenance services including repair, replacement, maintenance, and installation of natural gas, telecommunications, and electric infrastructure through four operating subsidiaries: SiteWise, Kelly Cable, Riley Brothers and Superior Pipeline Services.
Position Title: CDL Laborer
The CDL Laborer is responsible for going into residential and commercial areas to place underground utilities and work with their crew to complete tasks for the day.

Essential Functions:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
· Assists crew leader in construction, reconstruction and maintenance work
· Assists equipment operators by swamping, hand digging and locating underground obstructions
· Works with specialized equipment including jackhammers, rotary drills, power actuated fasteners and other industry tools
· Signals equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials
· Works safely around backhoes, excavators, trenchers and dump truck
· Cleans and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards
· Maintains paperwork during the day including DVIR and driver’s log book
· Ensures the truck has current licenses, tags, permits, and proof of insurance
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Performs other duties as assigned
Success Factors:
· Ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods, often under adverse climatic conditions
· Ability to lift up to 80 lbs multiple times during a work shift
· Ability to climb, dig, work in tight spaces, on uneven surfaces, walking, stooping, and kneeling
· Ability to understand and follow specific oral and written instructions
· Ability to work well independently and as a part of a team with co-workers
· English usage sufficient to keep records, place orders, and prepare simple narrative reports
· Willingness and ability to learn additional skills
Experience and Education:
· High school diploma or equivalent desired
· Experience working with underground utilities desired
· Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
· CDL Class A with tankers endorsement required
Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:
· Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver’s License is required within two weeks of employment.
· Candidates must pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
