Riley's is a seasonal restaurant located on the water in the lordship section of Stratford. We are open 44 weeks a year and closed for 8 weeks in January and February. We are also closed 40 Mondays and 12 Tuesdays during the year. We have two busy seasons. May - Labor Day. Nov 15th - Dec 30th.
Riley's is a fun atmosphere serving simple food done right, featuring Seafood and Pub fare menu. The menu is has a little bit of everything to appease most guests.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the culinary operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality food to our customers. Through Daily and Weekly specials you will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity and passion for cooking while leading your kitchen staff.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Plan seasonal menus that attract new customers while maintaining the large base of regular customers
- Prepare and cook food items in accordance with established recipes and quality standards
- Monitor food production to ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes
- Maintain inventory control by ordering supplies, tracking usage, and minimizing waste
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling of ingredients
- Develop and execute a Nightly and Weekly specials that excite the regular Clientele while showing off your culinary skills to attract new customers
- Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the kitchen area
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Kitchen leader of 5-8 employees in a full service restaurant that produces up to 1,500 meals a week during peak season
- Strong knowledge of food production techniques, culinary trends, and industry best practices
- Excellent cooking skills with a focus on quality, taste, and presentation
- Ability to effectively manage a team and delegate tasks accordingly
- Proficient in inventory control and cost management
- Familiarity with dietary requirements and restrictions
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
