Primary Job Role
Performs daily reconciliation of serialized machine and engine inventory among other assigned general ledger accounts. Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing transactional and account information. Prepares and posts correcting journal entries.
Prepares, reviews and posts vendor invoices for specific vendors. Verifies completeness and accuracy of supporting documentation as well as coding into general ledger. Prepares, processes and records payments to specific vendors. Verifies completeness and accuracy of supporting documentation and coding into the general ledger.
Recommends to management any updates to accounting policies related to fixed assets. Records fixed assets by creating and supervising a system of procedures, forms, and controls. Records fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions in the accounting system. Tracks the compilation of project costs into fixed asset accounts, and close out those accounts once the related projects have been completed.
Reconciles the balance in the fixed asset software to the accounts in the general ledger. Calculates depreciation for all fixed assets and conducts analyses related to fixed assets as requested by management. Reviews and updates the detailed schedule of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation.
Maintains accounting controls by compliance with company policies and procedures. Maintains financial security by following internal controls. Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information and trends. Maintains confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Creates and monitors a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recording of fixed assets.
Performs other duties as assigned.
