RISE is a non-profit organization that specializes in home and community-based support services for children and adults with developmental and other disabilities, children with mental health challenges, and aging adults. What does this role entail?

Responsible for developing and implementing staff recruitment strategies to ensure the availability of qualified applicants for entry level position openings. Recruiter will coordinate with management on a regular basis and proactively identify future hiring needs. Establishes administrative structure, provides functional oversight and to Regional Recruiters, and partners with local leadership to align administrative and operational functions.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide management and supervision of staff including hiring, employee discipline and termination.
  • Act as an appropriate role model and support people in using appropriate language, dress, manners, and respect, team work, and person-centered orientation.
  • Develops and implements recruiting strategies by studying organization plans and objectives and meeting with department managers to discuss needs.
  • Identify and implements methods to find and attract talent based on the position and location of entry-level openings.
  • Build community awareness and maintain positive community relationships.
  • Schedules and attends job fairs, vendor fairs, and networking events. Trains and coaches coordinators on staffing job fairs and networking events.
  • Promote RISE and open positions in the community, and with local schools, colleges, Worksource, etc. Promote RISEs reputation as the employer of choice and best place to work
  • Improve organization attractiveness by implementing new policies and practices.
  • Participate in local area recruitment meetings to identify and develop solutions to address area-specific needs, barriers, and problems.
  • Identifies, develops, and implements retention activities (such as training, events, employee recognition and appreciation, and initiatives).
  • Review and contribute to competitor dashboard.
  • Assist all departments with applicant screening and interviews when needed.
  • Assist in screening all open management positions to fill open positions timely.
  • Provide administrative and training support for the Paycom system and related activities.
  • Facilitates a partnership between administrative functions and local operations in particular regarding DSP recruitment, onboarding, and training compliance.
  • Manages hiring systems and relationships with advertisers and other key internal and external promotional teams.
  • Responsible for creating flyers, ordering desired company swag and utilizing social media platforms.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required. Associate or Bachelors degree in related field preferred
  • 2-3 years of recruitment related experience required
  • Proficient in computer software including Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, G Suite, etc.
  • Knowledge of Federal, State and Local employment law and best practices.
  • Weekly travel to offices and events throughout the entire state.
  • Occasional overnight travel.
  • Frequently required to stand for extended periods (2-6 hour blocks) to attend job fairs or events.
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions, deal with difficult people, and handle multiple assignments with specific deadlines.
