POSITION:
This position is responsible for receiving, organizing, storing and controlling production parts/components in the warehouse. This position supports production activities through cycle counting, measuring accuracy, quantifying problems and providing feedback to production. Incumbent carries out responsibilities in the office and on the production floor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintain the required supply of parts to support production floor, personally or through material handling personnel.
Assist in the receiving function to verify product received vs. invoiced on key ("A") items as identified.
Support the processing of all inventory transactions.
Must have forklift experience.
Position works closely with Purchasing to establish and maintain set inventory levels. Incumbent evaluates inventory levels and notifies Purchasing when reorders are necessary. Maintains records, replenishes stock and plans for future requirements.
Performs cycle counting program to ensure inventory accuracy. This includes generating cycle count reports, cycle counting of materials, measuring results and providing feedback.
Distinguishes between production errors, production support errors and discrepancies in product structures (B.O.M.'s) and communicating those to each of the functional areas. Work with Manufacturing Engineer to bring resolution to these errors.
Responsible for executing and supporting the quality system and procedures in the effort for continuous improvement.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Timely and accurate processing of inventory transactions.
Timely and accurate cycle counting and entry practices.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and/or system problems when necessary.
Effective communications with engineering for PhD additions/modifications to BOM's.
Review warehouse operations and transfer of stock from one department to another.
