As Transport Manager a.i. you are responsible for logistics forecasting and third-party logistic partners on operational level. Also, you lead strategic improvement projects with logistics suppliers to meet capacity, service and budget for Business-to-Business Distribution Costs. Besides you support business teams to make sure we meet customer demand.
In your position you make impact by developing and maintaining a strong relationship with (potential) logistics partners. Not only do you lead long term need for transport capacity and desired services, you also lead projects to improve service and costs. As Transport Manager you are owner of an excellent execution of our logistics operation by installing plans for events such as launches, promotions and Q4 readiness. Furthermore, you support modelling that support board decisions on selection of Rituals logistics partners & software solutions in tenders.
In your position you are part of the Supply Chain department and Logistics team, where you will report to the Manager BtB Logistics. You collaborate with different internal stakeholders such as Supply Chain, Business Technology, Control and Finance. You work closely with external stakeholders, the 3PL suppliers, while you are actively seeking for market trends or benchmark. In your position you lead and own improvement projects.
YOUR ACCOUNTABILITIES
As Transport Manager a.i. you must be able to analyse and (re)construct logistics processes and deliver an optimized scalable process, focused on capacity, excellent service and cost supported by BT solutions. You are always seeking for constructive solutions for complex logistics situations. You Propose and implement cost-saving and service- enhancing projects and reflect effects of that in distribution cost forecast. In your role you identify, develop and implement Logistics improvements during international expansion and increasing complexity across channels due to implementation of omni channel.
Your result area’s are:
- 3PLP management;
- Lead the monthly logistics forecasting cycle for transport;
- Lead the onboarding of new logistics providers;
- Lead the Monthly Business Reviews with 3PL suppliers;
- Lead the Continuous improvement Projects with 3PL suppliers;
- Drive sustainability initiatives to improve the carbon footprint together with the suppliers;
- Optimize Customer Service for our internal and external stakeholders;
- Propose, develop and lead cost-saving and service-enhancing projects;
- Spend management;
- Spend and provide analyses per 3PL supplier;
- Support negotiations with regards to contact renewals, rates, capacity growth and new competences;
- Support RFI and RFQ for warehousing and transportation (improvement) solutions; identify potential;
- Engage with best-in-class partners/solutions and manage/drive selection process;
- Validate supplier invoices and secure timely payments to suppliers.
YOUR INGREDIENTS
- You have strong experience in a similar position;
- You have an HBO or University educational level, preferably in Logistics or Business Administration;
- You have experience with supplier-, stakeholder- and projectmanagement, preferably within (fast moving) Retail organisation and/or logistics providers;
- You have knowledge of customs processes and dangerous goods treatment;
- You posses advanced MS office skills;
- You are strongly analytical, a selfstarter, persuasive and service minded;
- You have great verbal and written English (and Dutch) language skills.
