Ritz Safety is dedicated to providing convenient and cost-effective safety products and solutions to all people and industries, worldwide. With thirteen nationwide locations, we are looking to add an IT Manager with 5-7 years of experience in providing technical support in a Fulfillment Center environment. This full-time position will be based out of our Corporate Headquarters in Dayton, Ohio, and report directly to the CFO.
This position will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the department, troubleshooting complex application, hardware and network issues; documentation, analysis, and resolution of escalated help desk tickets; and working with remote IT third party technicians, employees, and operations management to quickly provide high quality solutions to IT and business problems. This will provide you with the opportunity to learn and work with a variety of equipment and issues including desktops, laptops, network connectivity, Microsoft Windows software, ERP – Epicor P21, CRM – Rubber Tree, EDI, Crystal Reports and much more. In addition, you will also be involved and responsible for aligning the IT strategy and roadmap for the company.
Day to day activities include network engineering and troubleshooting, project management, and systems administration in a variety of software and hardware environments. In addition, you will work closely with the company's decision makers to identify, recommend, develop and implement cost-effective technology solutions in order to support our rapid growth.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Microsoft Administration, Mobile Device Management and RF Technologies Administration.
· Utilize skills in PC repair, troubleshooting and deployment.
· Manage vendor contracts, relationships and service outages.
· Support PC’s in a Windows Active Directory and Remote Desktop Services Environment.
· Provide System Innovation including championing projects to expand system capabilities, customized system requirements, make system improvements and map out opportunities for improvement of system accuracy.
· Interface with internal stakeholders and external provider, roadmap development and project management.
· Handle website and system interface to ensure sales, ecommerce and leads are optimized.
· System report generation and project leadership.
· Manage company hardware and software procurement.
· Manage servers, storage devices, firewalls, network switches and routers, IP phone and wireless systems to ensure we are always on and always secure.
· Backup operations and participation in development and maintenance of disaster recovery, business continuity and emergency operation plans.
· Help desk ownership by performing first level hardware/software troubleshooting for all aspects of the IT environment including systems, networks, servers and software.
· Identify, research and document root-cause analysis and resolutions to issues arising in the support of continuous system operations.
· Develop and assist in the education of users in the use of implemented software and hardware technologies.
· System application and process documentation and training as needed.
· Other duties as requested.
Required Experience and Skills
· Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related technical field preferred.
· 5-7 years of experience providing technical support. Experience in information systems or related field OR a combination of experience, education and training that would indicate the level of skills, knowledge and abilities.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Windows server and client operating systems, LAN/WAN infrastructure (Cisco Meraki primarily), site-to-site and client VPN technologies, Zoom, Microsoft Office, Office productivity software, SQL databases and maintenance mgmt. software, as well as knowledge of common protocols such as: SSL/TLS, HTTPS and VPNs.
· Experience supporting PC's in a Windows Active Directory environment
- Experience with ERP and CRM ( We utilize Epicor’s P21 and Rubber Tree.)
- Experience with Crystal Reports, EDI and cXML concepts.
- Strong understanding of the fundamentals of network and desktop administration, installations, upgrades, techniques, tools, materials and equipment.
- Demonstrated Project Management experience.
- Demonstrated experience in the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of client/server systems and infrastructure.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills in a multi-user, high pressured environment.
- Understands the importance of adhering to security standards.
- Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of job duties and to meet work and organizational goals with limited supervision.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (in person and via phone and email) with peers, management, contractors and vendors.
· Strong critical thinking and analysis skills.

· Highly motivated with a desire and ability to learn new technologies.
· General knowledge of database servers and query functions, reporting tools and backup strategies supporting data integrity.
