What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deli Manager position at River Country Co-op?
River Country Co-op is looking for a responsible and reliable Deli Manager for our Jim Falls Cenex location.
This position will work the hours of 7am-3pm, Monday-Friday.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for preparing food properly, cooking food, serving food and discarding expired food products.
- Responsible for recognizing ways to reduce food waste and utilization of leftovers
- Ordering and inventory of deli supplies
- Enforce sanitation practices and keeping deli clean at all times
- Train, motivate, and supervise regarding deli operations
- Provide and maintain excellent customer service
- Operate the cash registers and handle money accurately when needed
- Assist Manager as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old for safety concerns.
- Some customer service and food service experience preferred.
- Must physically be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Requires long periods of time standing, frequent bending, twisting and reaching.
- Adhere to scheduled work week and be reliable and prompt when reporting to work.
