Summary: The Banquet Server serves food and beverages to private parties in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner and ensures a positive experience for all customers.
Essential Job Functions:
Serves customers as part of a team by anticipating their needs and initiating conversation.
Performs Banquet set-up, running side work and closing duties.
Possess an extensive knowledge of the private dining menu and wine list, including specials.
Meets and greets customers promptly, courteously, and graciously, addressing customers by name whenever possible.
Checks identification to ensure customers meet minimum age requirements for consuming alcoholic beverages.
Responsible for basic prep work behind the bar including but not limited to refilling ice bins,
Restocking liquor, replacing kegs, cutting garnishes, and clearing away and washing empty glasses.
Serves customers alcohol according to the guidelines of safe serving.
Mixes and serves alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to patrons of bar, following standard recipes.
Mixes ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
Serves wine and draught or bottled beer.
Arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive display.
Enters orders accurately.
Resets tables according to specifications of the restaurant.
Removes plates and silverware when all guests have finished.
Participates in table and dining room clean up.
Maintains cleanliness of tables during service to amplify customer perception.
Computes customer checks, operates the system and accepts payments.
Reports tips for each shift.
Anticipates customer's needs by constantly scanning the room.
Maintains dining room safety and sanitation standards.
Assists with the cleanliness of the casino property Front and Back of House
Arrives for each shift on time and in full uniform.
Attends all pre-shift meetings ready to "listen and learn" and share ideas.
Avoids leaving work area during peak periods.
Keeps a clean and professional appearance at all times.
Maintains a clean uniform throughout the shift.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years or older.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Six months or more related experience.
Must be available to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays.
Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.
Physical and Mental Demands:
Regularly required to see, talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms; stand and walk.
Must occasionally lift and lift up to 25 pounds.
Frequently required to stoop, crouch or kneel.
Ability to interact with others while maintaining a courteous and positive demeanor.
Exposure to smoke filled environment and high noise level.
