Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals in addiction recovery. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and conditions
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Prescribe medications and administer treatments
- Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on addiction
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Document patient encounters accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR) system, such as ELMR and EHR
- Monitor patient progress, evaluate treatment effectiveness, and make necessary adjustments to care plans
- Assist with procedures, including but not limited to physical exams
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, diagnostic evaluation, and treatment modalities
- Experience in acute pain management, addiction medication, & recovery services
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems, such as ELMR amd EHR
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and facility team members
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
Qualifications:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in California
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field
- Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the respective specialty area
- Current CPR certification
