POSITION SUMMARY
The Provider Relations Coordinator will be responsible for building and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with physicians and practices by delivering a consistent, streamlined approach to physician relations/recruitment. The Provider Relations Coordinator will serve as the liaison between hospital departments and physicians as well as facilitate physician and provider recruitment program. Responsible for consulting with appropriate parties to provide timely resolution and project completion according to department policy and/or deadlines. Responsible for Recruitment and Retention database. Performs other department functions as assigned or requested.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist Vice President and Directors with all provider recruitment, retention, and relations activities for RHP.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of hospital physician recruitment program and new provider orientation program.
- Facilitate recruitment activities to include, but not limited to advertising, sourcing, on-sites, and references.
- Visit and make calls to targeted physicians. Facilitate new provider orientation to include, but not limited to scheduling, tour, department meet and greets, and training.
- Work with hospital service lines to develop plans to educate and promote organizations' services to physicians and practices.
- Maintain regular contact with physicians and practices regarding service delivery and new service enhancements.
- Serve as an additional point person for physicians and practices.
- Identify and target appropriate physician practices for increased referral and admissions to organization.
- Assist in fostering physician to physician relationships.
- Assist in the development and execution of medical staff development plan as necessary.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of services to enhance physician practice efficiency, education, and hospital service satisfaction.
- Assist in identifying medical staff needs and assist with solutions for challenges encountered between physician, physician practices, and hospital.
- Assist in promoting physician specialists to community physicians and assist in fostering physician to physician relationships.
Job Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Level of Education
- Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, human resources or other related discipline
- Level of Experience
- Minimum: 1 year of physician office experience, human resource experience or physician relations experience.
- Preferred: Prior experience working with human resources, physicians and/or marketing.
