Description
The Consulting Analyst performs as an entry-level team member to provide both functional and technical project management support to a team of Consultants. The Analyst gathers functional requirements, develops necessary technical specifications and creates documentation during the implementation process.
Essential Functions
- Functions as a junior team member participating on a product implementation team.
- Creates all project documentation including BPD, BPA, BPP, BPML, KT, configuration, requirements, FSD’s technical specifications, and training.
- Gathers and analyzes clients’ business requirements and objectives.
- Analyzes customer’s business requirements and translates them into technical design specifications.
- Writes code to support the implementation of custom requirements.
- Conducts Fit Gap sessions to analyze current state and determine future state needs.
- Prepares for and conducts Fit Gap meetings with stakeholders.
- Provides report building support for technical and functional consultants.
- Performs unit testing on custom developments; troubleshoots and provides resolution of system issues as needed.
- Reviews all functional specifications to support technical consultants in delivering client solutions.
- Creates and delivers high quality presentations to demonstrate custom developments.
- Serves as a product expert and shares knowledge with clients and team members; serves as a customer resource by providing basic systems and functionality training.
- Mentors in support of change management initiatives.
- Develops personal product and implementation knowledge on a continual basis through self-study for specific project resolution.
- Completes ongoing training to develop skill set, attends mentoring one-on-one sessions with manager, completes performance review self-assessments, and updates resume for the purpose of internal career development.
- Completes internal tasks including recording and submitting hours, tracking expenses, and booking travel.
- Participates in Strategic Enablement meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field; equivalent experience is acceptable in lieu of degree.

- Basic knowledge of projects, business scenarios, and technology solutions.
- Ability to work with basic desktop software and the ability to learn additional advanced software.

- Ability to manage time and multiple projects with a high degree of attention to detail; ability to work under pressure to handle a high amount of responsibility and meet deadlines.
- Ability to create and deliver presentations and professional business proposals.
- Strong organizational skills with a commitment to consistent follow-up on client deliverables.
- Self-confidence and the willingness to research answers, learn new skills efficiently, and seek assistance when challenged on a solution.
- Ability to work long hours, including evenings and weekends; willingness to travel to client locations.
