RK Energy designs and fabricates custom skids and assemblies for the midstream oil and gas industry. They also design and manufacture custom skids and systems for food manufacturing, wind power and other industrial industries.

What you’ll be working on: 

• Procure multiple prices on orders to ensure the best pricing, delivery and value on majority of
  orders.
• Ideally, procuring three bids for all requisitions.
• Utilize spreadsheets for commercial analysis and best purchasing decisions.
• Ensure contract compliance for all material and equipment.
• Support project teams with submittals and contract compliance packages.
•  Meet reasonable timelines to reduce non-productive field product shortages.
•  Enter purchase orders accurately into Company management systems (Viewpoint).
•  Line item identification.
• Timely pricing and interface of purchase orders.
• Identify and reconcile differences between quoted material from vendors versus requested
• Liaise and rectify purchase order errors or corrections with Accounts Payable.
•  Ensure accuracy of purchase orders to allow for purchase discounts with vendors.
•  Negotiate product returns after project completion to minimize all inventories and maximize
  project profitability.
•  Relieve yard inventory through running requisitions through Yard Manager to reduce overall
  Company inventories.
• Negotiate site storage, product releases and any other ideas to reduce material handling.
• Track and ensure credits are applied to account.
• Track and manage all back orders to ensure timely delivery of all material and equipment.
• Purchase equipment and rough-in materials for projects.
• Request and forward submittals to meet deadlines.
• Purchase raw materials required for fabrication.
• Must have thorough understanding of purchasing process.
•  Ensure all buying agreements are being followed.
• Contact vendors to follow up and expedite purchase order items.
• Verify and report on price changes on purchase orders.
• Update vendor information files.
• Assist AP with PO to invoice by matching and correcting problems.

• Indirect supervision.
• Requires the use of advanced techniques and knowledge within his/her function.
• Applies diversified knowledge of applicable principles and practices to a broad variety of
  assignments.
• Makes decisions independently regarding complexities and methods.
• Supervision and guidance related largely to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts and
  policy matters.
•  Liaison to groups within and outside of his/her organization with responsibility to act
  independently regarding matters pertaining to his/her function.
• College/University graduate with 1 to 3 years relevant experience or equivalent combination of
  skills and experience generally expected for specified technical roles.

• Comply with all company policies and procedures.

• RK Mechanical employees and subcontractors are required to implement and maintain all safety and health systems practices including the training requirements of RK Mechanical Orientation, shop specific orientation, CPR/First Aid/AED/Bloodborne Pathogens, Hazard Identification and Reporting, and OSHA 10.

 Minimum Physical Requirements: 

• Work outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy and hazardous areas.
• Work in high places, tight places, confined spaces and/or other adverse locations.
• Climb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch.
• Work in all types of weather.
• Must have working knowledge of all trade materials and tools.
• Ability to lift and carry 51 to 75 lbs. occasionally, and/or 31 to 45 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 16 to 22 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
