Qualifications

- Use demographics, sales history and regional economic forecasts to assist general manager plan advertising campaigns/promotions, staffing changes, and compensation packages.
- Collaborate with dealer/general manager to ensure vehicle inventory is sufficient to meet forecasted demands, and acquire/order used or new vehicles as appropriate.
- Make sure the sales personnel are motivated, highly trained, and on hand when needed.
- Manage trade-ins, sales, and delivery of new and used vehicles. Keep a vehicle and sales history log.
- Establish sales quotas for all sales personnel which meet their individual skill levels.
- Supervise and run all operations of new and used vehicles.
- Set up appropriate forecasts.
- Become familiar and proficient with all aspects of the computer system required for sales management.
- Establish and manage an inventory control system which takes into account net profit goals to eliminate the chance of lower profits than expected.
- Create and maintain process to enable timely and correction completion of paperwork.
- Keep a balanced new inventory in relation to sales.
- Follow documented process such as tagging and proper storage to enable effective handing of warranty items.
- Keep the showroom set up with vehicles along with an assortment of accessories in a manner which draws customers.
- Keep facilities clean and efficient.
- Establish monthly and annually goals for the sales department with the aid of the General Manager.
- Establish and maintain sales follow-up programs.
- Create promotional campaigns in cooperation with the parts and service departments.

Compensation Range by Position:
The expected pay for this position is $7,500.00 per month plus bonus up to $22,000 per month and may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonuses or commissions.
