What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Specialist position at RLI Solutions Company?
We are currently looking for a Certified Safety Specialist to help prevent workplace injuries and reduce health risks. As part of your risk reduction duties, you may promote safety awareness among our employees through training seminars or distributing informational material on emergency response plans. Must be OSHA Certified, MSHA Certified is a bonus. Competitive pay and benefits!
Safety Specialist Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct worksite audits to identify potential risks and ensure regulatory compliance
- Provide safety training (PEC, Veriforce, CPR First Aid, Etc.) to company employees
- Maintain compliance in company safety and environmental policy and procedure (IS Networld, Veriforce)
- Assist with emergency response plans
- Maintain driver qualification files and yearly updates
- Applicable Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations and best practices
- Familiar with applicable DOT, Federal Motor Carrier and Hours of Service Regulations
