RM LUCAS is looking for a Controller in a growing manufacturing facility in Alsip IL. LUCAS produces professional grade coatings, sealants, and adhesives.

The Controller will report to the Chief Financial Officer and will oversee accounting and internal controls functions of the company.   The position has leadership responsibility of the accounting team. Hands-on role involving working in ERP and in Excel.

Requirements:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:
  • Month and end-year process.
  • Accounts payable/receivable.
  • Cash receipts.
  • General ledger.
  • Cash forecasting.
  • Revenue and expenditure variance analysis.
  • Account reconciliations.
  • Check runs.
  • Fiixed asset activity.
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
• Implements a system of internal controls, ensures compliance.
• Implement and oversee standard costing for produced goods.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements compliant with US GAAP.
• Oversee preparation of business activity KPI reports, cashflow reports, revenue/expenditure variance reports; communicate significant findings and budget differences to CFO and to management.
• Provides financial analysis, with emphasis on cost and pricing decisions.
• Support CFO in preparation of financial forecasts and annual budgets.
• Recommend benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance.
• Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit and preparation of corporate tax returns.
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Qualifications

Skills/Abilities:

Excellent management and supervisory skills.

Proficient in accounting for a manufacturing company.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree; and 7-10 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CPA preferred.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; and have knowledge of SAP Business One (preferred) or equivalent.

Salary : $104,000 - $132,000
