IVIRMA is seeking a full-time Payroll Administrator to join our growing team at our Basking Ridge, NJ location (with work from home options/hybrid)
We are looking for a well-rounded payroll professional. This position will be responsible for the accurate preparation and processing of full cycle bi-weekly payrolls. The role will also be responsible for tax filing and tax jurisdictional setups. Be able to respond to agency notices and liaise with state tax offices. Processing is currently being completed using UKG/UltiPro but will be transitioning over to SAP Success Factors. Works under the supervision of the Payroll Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process biweekly payroll for salaried and hourly employees
- Review and import hours from time and attendance system
- Administering regulatory requirements, e.g., garnishments, tax levies, and other adjustments to employees pay as required
- Calculate payable hours; retro pay; new hire/termination pay; bonus pay; special pay, deductions and withhold the proper withholding tax
- Identify, research. and resolve payroll discrepancies within strict time constraints through independent analysis and evaluation, taking corrective action to avoid pay issues
- Process termination and final payments in accordance with State and Federal requirements and within company guidelines. Special understanding of California term requirements
- Understand the rules and regulations associated with payroll processing at both the state and federal levels, while guaranteeing the company compliance with such guidelines
- Administer timekeeping system (SAP/UltiPro) and be the subject matter expert on all aspects of managing timecards and PTO hours
- Ensure compliance with California federal/state regulations and company policy
- Assist Finance with any payroll discrepancies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Taxation:
- Prepare and execute multi-state taxation activities related to payroll, including federal, state, and local tax
- Setup new state tax jurisdiction as required
- Address and resolve tax filing inquiries from agencies
- Prepare and file taxes as needed
- Assist Payroll manager with year-end activities- W2 processing
Requirements:
- Associates Degree or higher (Accounting/Finance) - required
- 0 – 2 years multi-State payroll taxation experience - required
- 1 – 3 years Full Cycle Payroll experience - required
- MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) experience - preferred
- Advanced MS Excel Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, Formulas) - preferred
- Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
