Position Overview
RMGS, Inc. is currently recruiting a Utilities Engineer to assess vulnerabilities of critical U.S. and allied national/theater mission systems, networks, architectures, infrastructures, and assets at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia; Albuquerque, New Mexico; and other locations in support of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, Nuclear Enterprise Support Directorate (NE), Mission Assurance (MA) Department.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments of all aspects of utility-related vulnerabilities
- Increase the customer’s awareness of potential vulnerabilities and impacts of utilities on mission execution capability
- Provide recommendations to mitigate or eliminate identified vulnerabilities
- Provide support to the NE-MA Department by attending and participating in relevant Department, Directorate, and Agency trainings, meetings, or other efforts to better align the Department, Directorate, and Agency missions
- Brief, present, or collaborate on one’s area of expertise
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in either mechanical, electrical, nuclear, or marine engineering
- Operational experience from the U.S. Navy Nuclear Power Program, the U.S. Army Prime Power Program, or a recognized equivalent
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- Ability to deploy to Ft. Belvoir, Virginia; Albuquerque, New Mexico; and other locations (CONUS and OCONUS)
- Willingness to accept worldwide deployments, which include high-threat, permissive areas, presenting some risks to personal safety
- Ability to adhere to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention-recommended immunizations for worldwide travel
- Ability to travel on short notice, work non-standard hours, and take on-call duty
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. passport
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Expert knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to prepare written reports, white papers, and PowerPoint presentations
- Capability to operate in all operational and physical environments and work collaboratively with U.S. Government military and/or civilian personnel
