What are the responsibilities and job description for the NY - Nurse Recruiter position at RN Staff?
This position will be recruiting for nurses for the St Lawrence Health System (Canton Potsdam, Gouverneur and Massena). Contract recruiter can be a remote worker. We ideally need a contractor for six months.
GENERAL PURPOSE:
The SLHS System Recruiter is a primary business owner with shared ownership to deliver System-wide Recruiting resources in support of the Health System’s Talent agenda. In this role, the incumbent is responsible to continually elevate the delivery and execution of HR services which optimize the candidate experience while maximizing the organization’s talent agenda. In concert with hiring managers, recommends and designs marketing and sourcing avenues to meet organizational needs in alignment with the recruitment plan. Supports and drives recruitment, staffing, processes, systems, and outcomes. Drives and monitors compliance activities to minimize adverse impact in recruitment and selection processes. Drives recruiting metrics to ensure optimal quality, cost and service outcomes. Is directly accountable for Vendor & Contract Management, reporting, and data analytics. Drives onboarding and retention enterprise-wide.

70% Across the health system, is a primary business owner & subject matter expert on the full cycle of talent management: ATS expert, recruiting, social media sourcing, screening, interviewing, consulting with hiring managers, workforce planning, job description reviews, advertising/marketing, requisition process, targeted selection, referral management and networking, salary & compensation negotiations, offer extensions, onboarding, retention, hiring manager training and is “on point” to deliver the health system’s recruiting resources as a subject matter expert.
15% Is a business owner for systems, processes, procedures, guidelines, protocols, policies, regulatory and legal compliance, defensible business practices (such as hiring manager interviewing competencies, background check qualifiers, health, and drug screening), reporting, and data analytics within the Talent Management functional discipline across the health system. Advertising/Marketing/Communications SME.
10% Identifies and implements process improvements to enhance and improve the overall efficiency of the recruiting process as well as continuous improvement of the overall recruitment experience for all candidates from sourcing and recruitment through onboarding. Champions’ patient-centered compassionate care and SLHS values.
5% Supports and drives functional resources, contingent workforce management & vendor/contract management across the health system: Volunteers, interns & student experiences, staffing firms (agency/interim/temporary), perm placement/search firms/contingent partners, ATS (ICIMS currently), Background Check Vendors, relocation/temporary living, etc.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or another related field. SHRM, LEAN, PMP are desirable
Work Experience:
Minimum five (5) years or more in healthcare recruiting
Previous nurse recruiting experience is required
Experience with iCIMS Applicant Tracking System preferred
