What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Care Teacher position at Roanoke Valley Children's Academy?
Early Childhood school hiring for teachers to work with infants to 5 year old children. This is a full time position working Monday through Friday. This position requires a reliable candidate with a positive personality. In addition the following are expectations for teacher assistants.
- Establish and enforce rules of behavior for children in their classrooms
- Provide basic needs for children in a caring manner
- Provide tools and resources for children to use and explore during learning and play activities using the Montessori method of teaching
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of children
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and parents
- Manage classroom activities along the Lead Teacher including lessons, play, breaks and meals
- CPR, First Aid, Tuberculosis test, and Background Checks will be required upon hire
