Bus Cleaner (Fogger) - Seasonal

This is a full time Seasonal position. Work is custodial in nature, and will work with Chemicals to disinfect buses and clean buses daily. The position is Seasonal, likely through the Summer season, but may result in promotions to Year Round Employmnet.

OVERVIEW OF JOB DUTIES: (See detailed Job Description for additional information and requirements)

Professionally and safely provides support to the Maintenance Department by performing a variety of duties including routine bus cleaning, deep cleaning of buses, Fogging vehicles with virucide or UV Light ("fogging"), servicing and moving of RFTA transit vehicles and equipment. Primary duties include cleaning and fogging.

QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Must maintain a valid Motor Vehicle Operator's License.

• Basic ability to read, write, and understand English for safety, training, certification, and documentation purposes.

• Competent in the use of computers and data entry ability.

• Knowledge of safe material handling and routine maintenance working practices.

• Ability to learn how to operate all equipment associated with the Vehicle Maintenance Department

• Excellent ability to perform the physical work requirements of this job, which includes lifting, bending and stooping, and other strenuous physical activity and manual labor, including lifting 50 pounds, and operation of machinery. This position involves walking several miles per day, frequently climbing up and down stairs and repetitive motions.

• Must understand and adhere to departmental, organizational, and industry safety standards and practices, including ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions on product labels, employee and emergency safety manuals. Ability to successfully complete Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Safety and Operation Training and Certification

WORK SCHEDULE & LOCATION: Must be available and willing to work any shift within any 24-hour period on any day of the week. Must be available and willing to work either at RFTA's Glenwood Springs Maintenance Facility and/or at RFTA's Aspen Maintenance Facility. Initial assignment will likely be at the Aspen Maintenance Facility.

SALARY RANGE: Starting Salary between $15.43 - $20.82 per hour, based on knowledge, skills, certifications, & experience. Position is SEASONAL, which comes with a temporary Health Insurance (free to employee) and Paid Sick time, as required by Colorado State Law, but does not include any other benefits.
