Property Accountant Needed for Real Estate Company (Newton)
Real Estate Investment/Property Management Company seeking property accountant to handle the property accounting for a portfolio of properties. Company currently has 20 apartment properties and will be acquiring additional properties.
Job responsibilities include:
· Assembling property financial statements including preparation of workpapers for all balance sheet accounts
· Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations
· Working with property managers on financial reporting and property accruals
· Reviewing budget to actual variance reports
· Preparation of repair reserve and construction draws
· Coordinate lender reporting
· Participate in budget process for properties
· Assist with annual audits
· Assist CFO and Accounting Manager with special projects as needed
Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required. Must be a team player, motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Prior property accounting experience preferred (1-3 years) but will also consider strong recent accounting graduates.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
