The ideal candidate will be primarily responsible for performing a variety of administrative and clerical duties in support of our accounting function. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team, ensuring efficient data processing, ticket processing, and accounting support.
Responsibilities
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
- Scan and index documents in electronic systems
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable in a timely manner
- Apply tickets to contracts and settlements accurately
- Provide exceptional customer support and service
- Prepare and distribute necessary reports as needed
- Utilize software programs such as word processing and spreadsheets for daily tasks
- Monitor office supplies and other inventory; order and replace as needed
- Answer phones, assist callers, take messages, or redirect calls to appropriate parties
- Perform other duties as assigned, such as duties specific to function supported.
- Must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounting Clerk role or a similar position.
- Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary.
- Demonstrated experience in Data Entry is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data management and financial analysis.
- A background in the Transport industry is highly desirable.
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail are crucial.
- Must possess strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
- Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
