What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Clerk position at Robert Half?
Do you want to be an indispensable part of a flourishing team? Robert Half currently has an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk position available that is short-term contract. The Accounts Payable Clerk will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. As the role progresses, more responsibilities will be assigned to the Accounts Payable Clerk. Based out of the Alamo, California area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a short-term contract opening.
Your responsibilities
- Assist with internal and external audits as needed
- Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling
- Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily
- Carry out a full-cycle A/P
- Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners
- Carry out additional projects as required
- Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department
- Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies
- Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents
Requirements
- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
- Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
- Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
- Competent with spreadsheets and databases
- Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
- Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
