We are looking for a Senior Auditor for a contract opportunity! The ideal candidate will have vast experience in the auditing sector with keen attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and deep knowledge of auditing rules and regulations. The Senior Auditor will ensure that all our operations abide by the required standards of financial and ethical conduct.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular audits to verify the effectiveness of our financial and non-financial controls.
- Prepare and submit timely audit reports, presenting observations and recommendations to management.
- Develop and implement comprehensive and effective audit strategies in line with the company’s objectives and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with the departments across the organization to understand business standards, strategies and goals.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes to financial and non-financial regulations applicable to the housing industry.
- Lead and conduct special audit-related projects as required.
- Follow-up on management’s interventions and enhancements based on audit recommendations.
- Conduct in-depth risk assessments and facilitate the development of risk mitigation strategies.
- Provide guidance and training to junior audit staff ensuring their work complies with both internal company standards and external regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with external auditors to ensure all relevant data and documentation is provided for their review.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. A Master’s degree will be advantageous.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or relevant certification is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the housing industry.
- Proficient knowledge of auditing standards, procedures, laws, rules, and regulations.
- Exceptional analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex data in an understandable way.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with accounting and auditing software.
- Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
