Major responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain a well-run system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; define bookkeeping policies and procedures
- Assemble financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
- Examine payments received and record deposits
- Conduct and manage the general ledger
- Monitor accounts by balancing entries
- Support accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
- Look after archived records by categorizing documents
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Bookkeeper preferred
- BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred
- Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
- Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred
- QuickBooks experience highly preferred
- Strong familiarity with journal entries
- Practical knowledge of Post Journal Entries
- Demonstrated knowledge of Month-end Journal Entries
- Journal Entry Preparation experience highly desired
- Adeptness in Ledger Journal Entries
- Journal Entry experience preferred
- Background working with bank reconciliations
- General familiarity with Monthly Journal Entries
- Prior experience working with collections/accounting software
