We are looking for an adept Bookkeeper to join our team in Fairlawn, New Jersey. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial records, processing payments, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data.
Responsibilities
- Accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications.
- Maintenance of precise customer credit records.
- Responding to and resolving customer inquiries.
- Monitoring customer accounts and initiating appropriate actions.
- Processing Accounts Payable and Receivable.
- Conducting bank reconciliations and managing deposits.
- Running reports and managing direct bill commissions.
- Handling receipting ACH payments received and checks received via USPS.
- Logging into insurance carrier websites and pulling direct bill commission statements.
- Sending direct bill commission statements to third party vendors for processing.
- Responding to questions from third party vendors regarding statements.
- Attaching vendor invoices and setting follow-ups to make payments.
- Entering ACHs for vendor payables.
- Acting as a backup to the accounting department handling Trust account payable & receivable.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Bookkeeper
- Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Bank Reconciliations
- Experience in Bookkeeping and Data Entry is essential
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with Month End Close procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
- High level of integrity and dependability.
