We are seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Consultant to join our team in the healthcare industry, based in Houston, Texas. As a BI Consultant, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data analysis tools and strategies, managing and maintaining databases, and improving data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement data analysis tools and strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect and analyze data.
- Manage and maintain databases to ensure data integrity, security, and privacy.
- Identify and implement strategies to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
- Deliver reports and presentations to share insights and recommendations.
- Utilize Power BI and Microsoft SQL Server to enhance data visualization and reporting.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand their business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Continuously monitor data trends to identify opportunities for data-driven decision making.
- Ensure data strategies and architectures are in line with organizational goals.
- Provide technical advice and support related to data management and analysis.
- Possess a degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a similar role within the healthcare industry.
- Proficiency in Power BI and Microsoft SQL Server is required.
- Strong understanding of healthcare data, including clinical, financial and operational systems.
- Experience in data modeling and database design.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate complex data into understandable insights for non-technical users.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and standards is desirable.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
