What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buyer position at Robert Half?
A prestigious healthcare research organization is seeking a talented Buyer to join their team on a remote basis. The Buyer will be responsible for ensuring that standard and non-standard purchase orders are fulfilled by receiving and reviewing requisitions, placing purchase orders, and facilitating the fulfillment or recall of requested items. The Buyer will negotiate pricing terms and conditions by soliciting and analyzing quotes to obtain favorable pricing and contract terms. The Buyer will examines various issues with order fulfillment and initiates claims with suppliers to resolve. The Buyer will communicate requirements and purchase order updates and provides insight on market conditions by researching potential sources of supply and products.
Additional Responsibilities Below:
• 2 years’ experience of supply chain, operations, and procurement background in the healthcare industry
• Support the procurement department in areas such as contract prices, terms and conditions, and manage vendor performance.
• Experience issuing purchase orders, patient stipends, and resolve invoice to purchase order variances.
• Exposure to healthcare product lines, costing, and medical/research terminology.
• Systems knowledge of Excel and PeopleSoft is a plus.
