Direct-Hire Cash Applications Team Lead.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Manager, this is an excellent opportunity to build the function and lead the continuous improvement of cash management processing to improve cash flow and meet daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly metrics. This position will also be responsible for providing support to internal customers by monitoring, prioritizing, and assigning tasks from within the functional mailbox workflow system as well as fostering a positive and cohesive work environment that promotes employee engagement. The Cash Applications Lead will also actively be involved in the company’s month-end close processes. Along with being backup support for the Accounts Receivable Manager when needed.
• Coach and support junior team members in cash application processing to ensure that team meets and exceeds team dailies deliverables.
• Assisting in developing procedures for effective cash application processing and compliance
• Research and resolves all issues related to cash payment applications, unapplied, and emails.
• Respond to AR mailbox escalations.
• Assisting to maintain accounting records as required per company policy and required for GAAP and control purposes (documentation, approvals, etc.)
• Assisting in the continuation of applying best practices to all AR areas by adding value through process improvement and creating workflow efficiencies, e.g., reducing posting time and improving accuracy
• Provide guidance to the AR team as directed or needed.
• Support and back up the Accounts Receivable Manager
• Handle special projects and provide backup support as needed for the finance/accounting team.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of leadership experience, leading a team.
Required Skills:
- 2-3 years high volume cash applications experience
- Excel – Pivot tables/V-lookups
- Highly collaborative and high level of customer service
- Experience implementing best practices and process improvements
Pay range and compensation package:
$30-35/hour
