CFO for a growing Construction company in NW Houston! Our client is looking to add a CFO to their team that will report directly to the President. This is a high visibility role that is open due to growth and will be a great opportunity for someone to come in and have ownership over the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization. Very flexible schedules and open to a hybrid approach once settled into the role.
CFO Responsibilities:
- Hire, train and retain finance and accounting staff
- Take care of financial systems implementations and upgrades
- Provide the finance and accounting functions with strategic management
- Prepare all financial statements, review work of staff, and work directly with CPA firm to ensure everything is in compliance
- Develop processes and procedures to automate reporting that will allow for real time snapshots of the business
- Analyze if cash flow is appropriate for the organization's operations
- Have staff comply with state and federal laws and company's policies
- Govern accounting policies, procedures and internal controls
- Own vendor relationships
- Oversee independent auditor relationships
- Ensure the integrity of a company's financial information and suggest improvements

Requirements
CFO Experience requirements:
- Construction industry experience is a must! The candidate must have experience working as a Controller/CFO for a construction organization.
- 10 years' experience in accounting or finance
- Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Supervisory - This role will be responsible for supervising administrative employees and they would like someone who can train and develop as the company continues to grow.
- Process improvement & automation: Any experience with ERP implementations or building automated reports that allow for real time snapshots of the company's financial performance.
- Budgeting/Forecasting
Salary : $150,000 - $200,000
