Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking a CFO / Controller. The CFO / Controller must have an ability to work well with the CEO, board members and other senior executives, as well as strong analytical, strategic-planning, operational and communication skills. Candidates with a combination of industry and public accounting knowledge are preferred. Are you an experienced CFO / Controller looking for a challenging role at an established company? Key responsibilities
- Recommend improvements to continue the integrity of a company's financial information
-Handle DCAA audits
-Create and implement processes and procedures for successful DCAA audit results
- Handle investor and investment institution relationships
- Handle all relationships with vendors
- Oversee implementations and upgrades for financial systems
- Provide the finance and accounting functions with strategic management
- Ensure staff compliance with state and federal laws and company's policies
- Direct accounting policies, procedures and internal controls
- Recognize and control insurance requirements and business risks
- Manage the relationship with independent auditors
- Examine the organization's operations and determine if cash flow is appropriate
- Hire, train and retain accounting and finance staff
- Supervise all personnel in the finance department

Requirements
- MBA, CPA, CGMA or CMA preferred
- Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 10 years' experience in accounting or finance
- 5 years' management experience
- Expert Microsoft Excel skills required
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Sound written and verbal communication skills
- Public accounting experience a plus
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
