Robert Half is looking for a CFO for a good client of ours. This company is a mid-sized firm that is growing rapidly. This role directs and controls the organization’s overall financial activities, including functions such as treasury, controller, budgeting, tax, accounting, insurance activities; and various administrative functions,
including overseeing Human Resources Department, for the organization.
Responsible for the development of standard accounting, analysis, and reporting procedures and for
exercise of overall financial control; Frequently reports to Chief Executive Officer and is a single
incumbent position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Orchestrates and drives the Company’s financial planning and reporting.
• Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance
sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
• Performs risk management by analyzing the company’s liabilities and investments.
• Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual
expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
• Reviews planning process and suggests improvements to current methods.
• Ensures cash flow is appropriate for the Company’s operations.
• Prepares reliable current and forecasting reports.
• Sets up and oversees the Company’s finance IT system.
• Works with the CEO and other managers to coordinate planning and establish priorities for the
planning process.
• Ensures compliance with the law and Company’s policies.
• Manages vender relationships.
• Sets goals for departments and individuals.
They would like to see a 4 year degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree. MBA and CPA are considered a plus. They are looking for 8 years of experience. They would like to see a CFO, Finance Director of Manager title or relevant role. Quickbooks knowledge is extremely helpful.
