Major responsibilities
- Manage upgrades and implementations for financial systems
- Handle investor and investment institution relationships
- Own process improvement for the integrity of a company's financial information
- Provide the finance and accounting functions with strategic management
- Handle all relationships with vendors
- Manage hiring and training for accounting and finance staff
- Identify and manage business risks and insurance requirements
- Oversee independent auditor relationships
- Determine if cash flow is appropriate for the organization's operations
- Manage internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
- Supervise all personnel in the finance department
- Enforce staff compliance with company policies and state and federal laws- Strong Microsoft Excel skills required
- Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 10 years' experience in accounting or finance
- Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Public accounting experience a plus
- 5 years' management experience
- MBA, CPA, CGMA or CMA preferred
- Proven organizational and leadership skills required
- Deep technical background in public accounting (GAAP)
