The Controller plans and directs all accounting operational functions, manages the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for financial statements, analyzes accounting and internal control systems, and guides departmental staff. How you will make an impact
- Work closely with owner
- Ensure timely cash collection by driving the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques
- Support Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, with research, planning, and implementation, as required
- Manage daily cash and prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals
- Assess, execute and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
- Review deliverables of self and team to align with client expectations
- Give financial reports to owner each month
- Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them monthly
- Direct finance department activities, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
- Handle monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis
Requirements
- Accounting experience with WIP
- Explore investment opportunities.
- Excellent technology, analytics and management experience required
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
- Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
- Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field
- Comprehensive knowledge of auditing
- Annual Budget experience required
- Deep understanding of Payroll Taxes
- Account reconciliation experience
- Foundational knowledge in financial statement preparation
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- CPA/MBA preferred
- Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
Salary : $95,000 - $110,000
