Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the financial statement process to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Conduct regular month-end closures to maintain up-to-date financial records
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations to verify account balances and rectify discrepancies
- Conduct comprehensive cash flow analysis to monitor the company's financial status
- Manage cost accounting to optimize resource allocation and reduce costs
- Oversee Accounts Payable to ensure timely and accurate payment processing
- Manage Accounts Receivable to ensure timely collection of payments and minimize bad debts
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
- Oversee budget processes to ensure financial efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Perform financial analysis to provide insightful financial data for decision making.
- Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
- Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions
- Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Familiarity with Auditing procedures
- Ability to execute Budget Processes efficiently
- Strong skills in Financial Analysis
- Previous experience in the Construction/Contractor industry would be advantageous
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
- Excellent communication, organizational and multitasking skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is a must
- Relevant professional certification, such as a CPA, would be a plus
- Proven track record of working as a Controller or similar role
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong analytical thinker with good numerical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws regarding accounting, finances, and taxation.
