Based in the Sanborn, New York area, this opening for a Controller is a permanent position.What you get to do every single day- Work closely with executive team and partners to facilitate efficient and effective firm-wide operation- Research, plan and implement Finance Department initiatives including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed- Prepare cash-flow reports that project cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and handle daily cash management- Give financial reports to executive committee and partners each month- Flexible in completing tasks beyond formal job responsibilities- Direct finance department activities, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll- Manage the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is on time- Manage the creation of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them on a monthly basis- Assess, execute and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies- Handle monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis- Inspect deliverables of self and team to ensure that they meet client expectations
