As the Controller, you will plan and direct all accounting operational functions, manage the accumulation and consolidation of financial information for internal and external financial statements, assess accounting and internal control systems, and guide departmental staff. This permanent position is for a Controller who will work in the Rockwall, Texas region.Your responsibilities- Support Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, with research, planning, and implementation, as required- Produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and manage daily cash- Evaluate, implement and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies- Flexible in completing tasks beyond formal job responsibilities- Work closely with executive team and partners to facilitate efficient and effective firm-wide operation- Complete month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, reconcile accounts, and handle G/L analysis- Time monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is punctual- Direct finance department activities, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll- Present executive committee and partners with monthly financial reports- Manage the production of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts- Reviews deliverables of self and team to ensure that they meet client expectations
