Robert Half is currently working with a client looking for a Purchasing Agent. The Purchasing Agent will be responsible to work and negotiate with suppliers to purchase goods and services for the company. In this position you will be locating suppliers, researching goods, services and materials and processing purchasing orders. If you are a highly analytical and deadline oriented professional, this is the Purchasing Agent position for you!

- Review that received orders are complete with all information.
- Help with any additional duties of the purchasing department.
- Data entry duties for daily purchase orders
- Works closely with all departments to ensure they have appropriate inventory levels.
- Maintain a high level of customer service skills while working with vendors and suppliers.
- Examine and contrast goods, suppliers, and services.
Requirements
- Outstanding data entry skills
- 1 year working in a professional setting.
- Ability to provide exemplary customer service while working with vendors and suppliers.
- College Graduate
- Excel, at least beginner if not intermediate
- Some experience in Inventory Management, basic understanding of Supply Chain metrics like DOS or rate of turn, understanding of a sales forecast and how it relates to demand planning.
- Ability to organize questions, emails, status of things.
- Strong communication skills to summarize and escalate issues to manager and cross functional partners.
